a poetry award, that's something precious for the day

I have noticed that an award is listed at poetry rally and I truly value the opportunity in being mentioned honorably, thanks to benji ...for week 80 next time, i wish to nominate a poet
who blogs at  poetsandall by Ashlee Zlotnick, her blog is very compact, delicate, the same as her poetic words...thanks for commenting and encouraging.

it's spring,
the flowers sing,
it's love in vain,
let's run bare feet in the rain,
it's flower time,
let's have a picnic and
have our thoughts go prime.
it's morning,
the day stays young,
it's lunch break,
the sun plays hide and seek,
it's working time,
then no more gossips
and let your heart beats go rhyme.

New York Central Park Snapshots

Franklin statue stands,
a historical figure prints,
the Wall Street journal speaks,
None shall offend George Washington
because Thomas Jefferson knows USA better,
Morning mist lifts its mask by dawn
and let New Yorker artists greet Central Park tourists.
No more friction among freelancers.

the aftermath of an earthquake

trees and green earth,
oceans and red lights,
Human depends on air, water, or mental health,
Environment affects people's concept in comfortable living.

Global warming relates to earthquakes,
potential threats from earth's climate change may not be detected timely,
not all natural disaters are haulted or avoided,
we indeed fall short when mother nature decides to vent.

Francesca Lia Block knows truth,
Penelope Homer lowes Los Angeles,
on their fights back to normal after a massive earthquake near their home LA,
God feeds them with Red Cross medicine, tents, hot dogs,
and the hope to continue life,
and the strength to smile, love, trust, or dream again.

Force can come from outer space,
Tragedy can occur from inner weakness,
A balance of nature, humanity, and knowledge produce grace,
Good luck, homeless and Jobless,
Do buy life insurance.

humor post: a noiseless patient spider

Funny bunny Fridays Week 15 (January 2-12, 2015)

A noiseless, patient spider,
I mark’d, where, on a little promontory, it stood, isolated;
Mark’d how, to explore the vacant, vast surrounding,
It launch’d forth filament, filament, filament, out of itself;
Ever unreeling them—ever tirelessly speeding them.

And you, O my Soul, where you stand,
Surrounded, surrounded, in measureless oceans of space,
Ceaselessly musing, venturing, throwing,—seeking the spheres, to connect them;
Till the bridge you will need, be form’d—till the ductile anchor hold;
Till the gossamer thread you fling, catch somewhere, O my Soul.
